Hi! A little bit about me. I am mom to my miracle daughter who I tried to have for 10 years before going through one successful round of IVF. I am always taking photos of her. Everyday my poor daughter is getting captured. I want her to remember her childhood through photos. I like capturing those moments that may slip my memory until I see it in a photo. One day when I have time, I will start a personal blog for them.
I love camera’s, vintage things, coffee and chocolate. I am very passionate about photography. I first sparked my interest when I was 16 in high school. I haven’t put my camera down since. I prefer to be behind the camera creating art and capturing memories. I understand the importance of having images to look back on. I sadly have only a few from my childhood as most of them have been lost or damaged. Photos are so important to me as I have lost so many memories from my childhood and loved ones I would love to have a photo of. I love that I can freeze a moment in time then look at the image and have it trigger a memory I may have forgotten about otherwise. I love that a photo can bring up so many emotions, whether it be a posed photo, lifestyle shot or just a snap shot.
My style of photography is posed with a mix of lifestyle. I love when a family is just naturally being themselves in front of the camera and I can just capture them as them. At the same time I love posed photos seeing faces and smiles. It’s a good mix to have on your walls or in album to tell a story of your love and that day in that moment. My favorite to photograph is families and children. I love seeing the smiles and interaction, the shyness or silliness. So many ways to capture the moment as everyone is always changing.
My favorite time of the day is sunset to shoot. The warm lighting, flares and just prettiness of the evening. At the same time I adore overcast. The evenness of the lighting and giving a more moody look.
I am a Canon girl. Always have been… always will be.
